Amy Montgomery is an Irish singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist known for her powerful voice, visceral live performances and distinctive blend of alternative rock, folk & blues.

 

With over a decade of professional experience, Amy has performed across 18+ countries, building a dedicated international following, particularly in Germany, where she lived and worked for three years. Her career includes performances at Glastonbury, Electric Picnic, WOMAD and Green Man, a 2019 Australian tour supporting William Crighton, and live radio sessions in Australia, Mexico and internationally. She has also shared stages with bands including Black Pumas.

 

Amy’s songwriting is rooted in alchemy, transforming lived experience, grief and emotional upheaval into music that finds meaning, perspective and connection. At 16, she experienced the sudden and tragic loss of her mum to suicide. Now 10 years on, she prioritises emotional alchemy in her life and her music, ensuring that her voice and honest expression sit at the centre of her work creating performances that have been described as raw, powerful and compelling. Live performance allows her to feel these alchemical processes somatically, and adding this layer of somatic integration after songwriting through the lens of self-inquiry is what creates the undeniably authentic performance that an audience receives.

 

Alongside her solo work, Amy is also the vocalist, songwriter and frontwoman of PREYRS, whose debut album 'The Wounded Healer' was released through Pelagic Records in 2025. Nominated for 'Best Alternative Metal Album' at the Metal Storm Awards, their debut received strong international reviews and was followed by extensive touring, including a European tour supporting New Model Army. This chapter proves her versatility and ability to bend and explore other genres whilst maintaining the same depth and honesty in the songwriting.
